KoeCode ("we", "our", or "the app") is a voice control application for AI coding agents. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

Data We Collect

KoeCode does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. We collect only anonymous, aggregated usage analytics as described below.

Audio Data

  • The app uses your device's microphone to capture voice commands.
  • All voice processing is performed locally on your device using on-device speech recognition.
  • Audio data is never sent to external servers or third parties.
  • Audio recordings are not stored; they are processed in real-time and immediately discarded.

Network Communication

  • The iOS app connects directly to your Mac over your local network or VPN.
  • This connection is encrypted using TLS with mutual authentication (mTLS).
  • No data passes through our servers. Communication is exclusively between your own devices.

Anonymous Usage Analytics (TelemetryDeck)

KoeCode uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous usage statistics. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-first analytics service that does not collect personally identifiable information.

The data collected includes:

  • An anonymized, untraceable user identifier (generated per app installation)
  • Basic app events (e.g., app launched, feature used)
  • Timestamps rounded to the nearest hour
  • Device metadata such as operating system version, app version, and device type

The following data is never collected:

  • IP addresses (neither in logs nor in the database)
  • Voice recordings, transcriptions, or conversation content
  • Personal identifiers or information traceable to individuals
  • Cookies or persistent tracking technologies

Data Sharing

We do not share any personal data with third parties. Anonymous usage analytics are processed by TelemetryDeck as described above. All other processing happens locally on your devices.

Third-Party Services

KoeCode connects to AI coding agents (such as Claude Code) that you have installed on your Mac. The use of these services is governed by their respective privacy policies. KoeCode itself does not send data to these services; it only provides a voice interface to interact with them locally.

Data Security

  • All communication between your iPhone and Mac is encrypted with TLS.
  • Device pairing uses certificate-based mutual authentication.
  • No data is stored on external servers.

Children's Privacy

KoeCode is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
